If Gustav directly hits New Orleans, where would the Saints and the Hornets play in the 08-09 season?

I think Las Vegas has a better chance of landing an NBA team than one from the NFL. I’d personally like to see teams return to LA (football) and Seattle (basketball) and I have to wonder if Jerry Jones has the weight to keep another team out of the Lone Star State.

    Tough to say…
In 2005, right after Katrina, they split their “home games” between San Antonio’s Alamodome and LSU’s Tiger Stadium.
Not sure what would happen to them though (or the Hornets) if a hurricane hit the city directly…
Prob nothing right away. I think the total loss devastation would outweigh people’s desire to cheer for a football team

The Saints have a verbal agreement to play in San Antonio if such a scenario would happen. As for the Hornets… i have no idea.

Rumor is that the Saints are exploring relocating to San Antonio or Los Angeles after their lease expires in New Orleans.
